

Henry S. Grzelakowski died on Monday, July 29, 2013 in Marlette, Michigan at the age of 83. He was born on April 29, 1930 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Frank and Josephine (nee Markiewiczski) Grzelakowski. Henry was a Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Army from September 1951 to July 1953. He was a founding member of St. Malachy Catholic church and started the Little League at the church in 1967. Henry was a member and started the 4th degree of St. Michael the Arc Angel at the Knights of Columbus, John F. Kennedy Council 5460. Henry was very involved with his faith and church and very active in many local and state works with the Knights of Columbus Fraternal Organization. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Wisniewski). Dear father of Donna Blowycky (fianc Richard Bondra), Anthony (Debbie) Grzelakowski, Carol Douglas-Forstner (Norman), and Joy Grzelakowski. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Josephine (nee Markiewiczski) and siblings Frank (Delores) Grzelakowski, Richard Grzelakowski, Irene Smith, Lorraine Jarinski (Edward), and baby Arthur Grzelakowski. Also survived by sister-in-law Jane Grzelakowski (wife of the late Richard), 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Friday, August 2, 2013 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren. Rosary and Knights of Columbus service Friday at 6:30 pm. Instate Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 9:30 am until time of Mass 10:00 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14085 East Fourteen Mile Rd., Sterling Heights. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery with military honors on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Henry's name may be made to the Marlette Regional Hospital-United Hospice Service, PO Box 307, Marlette, MI 48453.
