

Henry Kuntzler was born on September 4, 1945 in Detroit; son of Nicholas and Evelyn (nee Holden) Kuntzler. He was a graduate of "The High" Grosse Pointe South in 1964. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He received numerous citations including the Purple Heart. His injuries forced his honorable retirement in 1968. Henry was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf. He had a passion for all sports especially watching football. His biggest love was spending time with his family and friends. He leaves behind his loving daughter Melissa Van Hagen. He adored and was proud of his granddaughters Lorelei and Cecelia. He is survived by his brothers Paul, Frank, Nick and David; and sisters Carol and Mary. He is predeceased by his parents and siblings Georgina, Jimmy, Donna, and Billy. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at Noon at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. His family will receive guests one hour prior to the Service. The Memorial Service will conclude with Military Honors.
