Howard W. Lappin

Howard W. Lappin died Tuesday July 28, 2009 at the age of 67. Howard was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church in Grosse Pointe Farms and participated in the Bell Choir. He loved cars, motorcycles, and collecting many different types of swords. Howard was fascinated with the chinese culture and genelogy studies. He loved to discuss politics and debate anything with anyone. Some of his favorite activities included shopping, camping, travelling with his wife, and cooking with vegetables from his own garden. In Howard's younger years, he enjoyed karate and judo. Howard will be remebered by his many stories, his hatred for doctors and hospitals, and his love he had for his family, especially his grandchildren. Though he had many activities and hobbies, Howard knew that family was always first. Howard is the beloved husband of Suzanne; loving father of Alana (JR) Sabol and Andrea (Danny) Roth; and spectacular grandfather of Alex, Brooke, Zach, Blake, Ella, and Bethie. Funeral sevices are Saturday 12 Noon at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Pastor Frederick Harms will officiate the service.
