Irene Torakis

Irene had many interests in life. She enjoyed bowling, swing dancing, Greek dancing and watching Detroit Tiger baseball games. She loved playing cards with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kind nature and wonderful laughter. Her biggest love in life was her family.

She was proud of her sons Ronald (Arlene), Steven (Madelyn), and Robert. She adored her grandchildren Brandee, Kristy, and Elizabeth, and great-grandchildren Toshi, Ruby, John, and Penelope. She will be missed by her sister Dorothy. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Tom and her sister-in-law Patricia.

Mrs. Torakis’ funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 21800 Marter Rd., St Clair Shores followed by a luncheon at the Church. Her family will receive guests for visitation prior to the funeral service from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at the Church. A private interment will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
