James J. Barker, age 76, died November 1, 2014 at Arden Court of Sterling Heights. He was born April 21, 1938 in Detroit to Jesse and Margaret (St Peter) Barker. Jim retired from Farmer Jacks and A&P Grocery stores where he was a meat cutter, or as he called himself a "cattle pathologist". Jim enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his sons. Beloved husband of Peggy and the late Elaine. Dear father of James (Anne) Barker, Ronald (Patty) Barker, Leeann (Glenn) Yamakawa, and Brian (Kathleen) Riederer. Dear grandfather of Jacob, Sarah, Jennifer, Rebecca, Rachel, Jeannie, Eric, Adam, Annie, Stephanie and Rebecca. Visitation Wednesday 2:00pm-8:00pm with a funeral service Thursday 10:00am at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr (at Masonic), Warren. Interment will follow at East Berlin Cemetery, in East Berlin, Michigan.
