One look at Jim's great smile would always tell you when "his" Wings or Tigers were playing well... and when they weren't he knew exactly what they were doing wrong and he wouldn't hesitate to tell you! That will always be my favorite memory of Jim... that and the great black eye he gave me when I was about 8 years old, which I proudly wore to school for days! You will be missed Jim, rest peacefully.

Uncle Jimmy. Thank You for all the stories, memories, and laughs you gave us. My memories were always of you making me laugh. You were always concerned about how I was doing in school, and that I was applying myself, especially after mom died. I was always little Bobbie to him, until one summer we were visiting and I was taller than he was. He always had a way with words "This is little Bobbie?" he ask my dad. Wow! Youve gotten big! You Big Bobbie now he would say. My heart sank to the floor and I got a big lump in my throat when I heard of your passing. I know how hard a life you had Uncle Jimmy, and how well you served others. We're all going to miss Uncle Jimmy. He taught us many things: how to overcome challenges, the importance of hard work, and the happiness that comes with a Red Wings or Tigers victory. We'll miss you!

Goodbye Uncle Jimmy. We'll miss you and your feisty attitude :) I loved the way you laughed - especially when being teased about one of your favorite teams. You have always been a very important part of our family and will be missed.

I always remember going to Tigers or Wings games and proudly pointing out to friends "that's my cousin!" OK second cousin but I always admired your hardworking ethic and ability to manage what life threw at you. Sleep well.

Uncle Jimmy... I remember how proud my Dad ("Bobbie") was of you and your ability to remember not only Tiger baseball greats, but also every statistic about them. I looked forward each summer to seeing you not only because of this amazing gift but because we had something famous in common--our cool middle name going back generations. Thank you for being a wonderful uncle, and for shaping your little brother Bobbie into the great Dad that he is today. Love, Joe

I thought of Uncle Jim quite often and my memories are snap shots taken since I was 7 years old placing him in various places. Those times were fond and I could not image him not being there with each visit. My thoughts are with Aunt Joan and her children, who tirelessly and consistently and without a complaint helped her brother, their uncle, live the life he wanted to have. To his son James, daughter Bernadette, my father and Aunt Hope my thoughts are with you for the loss of your father and brother.
