James Peter Males

With cherished memories, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Jim Males. A devoted member of the Assumption Parish, Jim played on the basketball team for many years winning Senior Championships as well as National AHEPA and Boston tournaments and was selected to play on the AHEPA team in tournament in Greece. He joined Assumption coaches team for Intermediate and Junior teams playing in championship games in many tournaments. His record as All State Basketball Champion still stands at Hazel Park High School. Through his illness, Jim still coached basketball and attended Assumption church regularly. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Marisa, sons James and Nick. He was predeceased by his parents James and Ann and is also survived by his brother John (Melba), sister Denise, nieces Kristina and Heather, sister-in-law, Linda (Paul) Buc, niece Kelley and brother-in-law Joe (Patricia) Lisi, niece and nephew, Brianna and Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Jim will be laid to rest on Wednesday, May 23. Arrangements are as follows: In State 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Assumption Greek Orthodox Church 21800 Marter Rd.
