Miss you pastor Mellish. I am proud to have my middle name be named after you.

He was a loving father, a friend to all, and a true believer, and was a real representation of Christ.

Our sincere condolences to the family. While I did know know Jim personally, his reputation preceded him as I traveled in evangelism, and conducted meetings where he had ministered before me. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."

To the Mellish Family, Michele, Bruce, Pat and I had the priviledge of having Rev. Mellish as our Pastor and spiritual leader for 16 years. He was a truly a follower of Jesus. His prayer, preaching and leadership led generations to the Jesus. Our loss is Heaven's gain. He will really be missed.

Rev. Mellish was may pastor while growing up. I will always remember him as an honest and god-fearing man.

Pastor Jim was a dear friend. He preached several campmeetings and revivals while I served as DS of the Central Ohio District. He was always kind, considerate and caring for our people. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. God be with you Marilyn and all your precious family.

A few months ago I got a handwritten note from Uncle Jim. I had written him to let him know I was praying for him and Aunt Marilyn. His card was such an encouragement to me and one of the things he did was tuck in a $2 bill and told me it was for ice cream. That card and the $2 are tucked away in a bible at my house. Uncle Jim always showed unconditional love and you knew that when he said he was praying for you he meant it. Love and prayers to you aunt Marilyn and all the family.

Our most sincere condolences to your family during this difficult time. We are praying for you all. Meeting Rev Mellish a few years ago at a NC campmeeting I learned quickly what a caring man he was. May God Bless and strengthen you all.

Thank you for being our friend, Pastor, mentor, role model, for praying with me when doctors indicated I had cancer requiring major surgery and dedicating our home. We will miss you greatly

As a kid in Lapeer, Jim was the "older brother" that I never had. I have wonderful memories of tagging along behind him on the farm. Years later, he conducted a beautiful funeral service for my father. Over the years, he changed from that neighbor kid who occasionally tormented me into a wonderful man of God and a dear friend. He will be greatly missed.

Earth lost one of the great ones... All of heaven is dancing today!

The Swindells are so thankful for having him in our lives both as a Pastor and as a personal friend. He was a true man of God and we are fortunate to have known him. Dear Mellish Family, Words cannot express my deepest sympathy for your loss. Dr. Mellish had a huge impact on my life, including mentoring and performing the marriage ceremony to my wife Wendy (McClure). Wendy will be at the service, I am unable to make it. There are not enough words to describe Pastor Mellish and the care and concern he showed for People. Our family is so much better having known Pastor Mellish and the influence he had on our lives. He will be greatly missed, but we can only imagine the joy he is feeling being in the pesense of God. Our prayers are with the family, that they will find peace in this time of sorrow !!! I am so sorry for the loss you must be feeling. During my brief stay in Michigan back in 1986, I attended Warren Woods with my Aunt and Uncle. I was made to feel very welcome and loved. A fire was sparked at that time, that has now become an amazing fire for the Lord. Thank you Pastor Mellish for that spark.

Words can't fully express my sadness at this time. I was blessed to attend Warren Woods Church from '90-'93 under the leadership of Dr Mellish. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this dear Man of God.

Darrell's memories of Pastor Jim goes back many years ago attending boys camp together and sharing family time at the Mellish farm in Lapeer. He became a true friend and pastor to our family when we attended Warren Woods Church. It was special to have him to dedicate our retirement home in Big Rapids in 1999. Heaven is truly rejoicing today as he entered the gates of Heaven. He will truly be missed. Our prayers will continue to be with Marilyn, Janell, Kevin, Todd and their families.

I am so sorry to hear you have left this earth but glad you are seeing God face to face. Your family is in my prayers.

We truly want to thank your entire family for sharing so much of Pastor Mellish with OUR family! Through his faith and love, we gained "New Life" in so many different ways. Pastor will be missed that's for sure. He has always been ready to trust me and soppurt me. He's given me encouragement,help me find strenght, Help to see that there was a reason to live for. I enjoyed Pastor Mellish's sermons and experiences. He was so good at remembering names and his smile could light up a whole room. He sincerely cared for each and every individual that walked in through those doors of the church. I will always remember him and smile of what a wonderful person he is. He will be missed dearly.

Mert Richards and I loved the Melish family from way back. Mert has already gone to Heaven in 2008. I am Rev.A.E. McFarland's daughter. I know it's a great loss for the family and a great gain for him in Heaven. He has had the ultimate healing. My prayers are with you. God knows the timing he has chosen to take Your (Rev. Dear Mellish Family, I am so saddened by the loss of Dr. Mellish. We were blessed to work several times with him in Revivals. What a great man of God. My life has been enriched because of knowing him. His kindness and encouragement was so real. We will meet again on the other side. What a day that will be. We are praying for all the family.

Dr. James Mellish was a model minister who lived what he preached. He leaves a legacy of love for God and people.

Pastor Mellish was an inspiration to both of us. He not only preached the truth but also lived it every day. His was the heart of not only a shepherd, but an encourager, a teacher and a great friend. Our hearts are heavy now but we rejoice in the fact that Pastor Mellish is in the loving arms of our dear Savior and that we will all be together again very soon.

I have no words to fully express my gratitude to Pastor Mellish. He stood by me thru the darkest time of my life and counseled me into giving my unborn child life. He told me that God would not give up on an unwed mother like my family did. That child is now almost 16 years old and a sophmore in High School trying out for boys basketball. Thank you Pastor Mellish for knowing that my life would not be complete had I followed a different path. Heaven truly should be rejoicing and you should be recieving many crowns!

To the Rev. James Mellish Family; My heart is so saddened at the loss of such a Godly man. I'm so glad I was privaledged to Meet him, Hunt with him, and sit under his preaching and wisdom in Campmeetings. His smile, gentle spirit, and enthusiasm for Hunting in God's Great Outdoors, are memories I'll treasure and share. His encouragement and generousity while I battled cancer, will never be forgotton. I can only echo all the words that have been written. What a friend! There is special comfort in knowing the words "welcome home" have been heard in heaven for him. What a reunion with those who are aleady there.

To the Mellish Family: My heart is sad to hear of the passing of Rev. James Mellish. Rev. Mellish held a wonderful revival at Catlettsburg Southside in 2006 and we were looking forward to having him back in 2011. I know our loss is Heaven's gain.
