
James A. O'Driscoll, age 82 of Algonac died peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. He was a retired school teacher from the Lakeshore Public School District in St. Clair Shores. He taught Latin and French in high school and was a popular fourth grade elementary teacher. He studied to become a priest and attended the Sacred Heart Major Seminary and the St. John Seminary. Later he decided to become a school teacher and graduated from the University of Detroit with a bachelor degree. While teaching, he earned two masters degrees in English and French from Wayne State University. He enjoyed travel, classical music and playing the piano. He was the son of the late Al and Beatrice. He is the loving brother of Doris Pagel (Fred) and the late Edward. Proud uncle of John Pagel (Lynne) and Mary Kowalski (Ronald) and their families. Visitation 2-9 pm Sunday with a 7 pm rosary at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate at St. Joan of Arc Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake, St. Clair Shores from 9:30 am Monday until mass at 10:00 am. Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.
