James B. Overfield

Dr. James B. Overfield, age 80, of Warren, died Feb. 10, 2017. Beloved husband of Christine for 56 years; loving father of Scott (Tricia) and Gregg (Melissa); proud grandfather of Courtney (Tyler) Allen, Katie (Carl) Knapp, Brenton, Griffen, and Nolan;. He was preceded by his parents, Clyde and Evelyn Overfield. Dr. Overfield was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as Captain in the Medical Corp, as a dentist. He graduated from Denby High School, Wayne State University, and University of Michigan Dental School in 1961. He enjoyed going up north for 70 years, and he and his wife spent their winters in Bradenton, Florida. Jim enjoyed kayaking, riding on the ATV, and spending time with his family. The family will receive friends Monday 2-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 mile) Warren.
