

Born in Detroit, Jay lived most of his life in St. Clair Shores, working as an Engineer in the Automotive Industry. In his free time, Jay enjoyed boating, driving his classic car, snowmobiling and going to rock concerts. An avid traveler, he enjoyed camping and proudly stated that he had traveled to every state in the U.S., except for Alaska. He treasured the memories of times spent with his mother and step-father traveling on vacations, including trips to England to see his niece and nephew, who he dearly loved. Jay was a proud uncle, cherished brother, and dear friend.
Jay lost his father, James Taylor, at a young age. He lost his beloved mother, Kaye Gregory in 2017 and lost his step-father, James Gregory, in 2018. He will be missed by his step-sisters, Helen (Bruce) Sinclair and Liz Pilling, along with Liz’s son, Robert, and daughter, Emily, and his friends. Memorial donations to Wertz Warriors are appreciated. Inurnment to take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
