CHARVAT, Jane B. May 31, 2009 Age 84 Beloved wife of Louis. Dear mother of Linda Charvat, Sally LaRowe (Edward), Jay, and David (Rita). Loving grandmother of Amy, Martha, Greg, Lindsay and Chelsea. Mrs. Charvat was married for over 60 years to Louis and together they traveled extensively with the Nomads. Mrs. Charvat enjoyed her yard - gardening and planting flowers. Her hobbies included arts and crafts and was a member of the Knit Wits, a knitting club. As member of the Mall Walkers she walked the corridors of Eastland Mall. An dedicated walker, she participated in the Mackinac Bridge Walk 10 times with her husband. An avid boater, she also enjoyed baking, needle point and reading. She was also a Civil War buff. With all of her activities to keep her busy, there was nothing she loved more than spending time with her grandchildren. Memorial Service 11 am Friday June 12 at Grosse Pointe Congregational Church 240 Chalfonte, Grosse Pointe Farms. Arrangements by A. H. Peters Funeral Home.
