

Jeanette was born in Virgie, Kentucky, in 1944 to Kenneth Belmont and Arzora (Tincie) Tackett. The eldest of 7 children. The Tackett family made Ecorse, MI their home early in Jeanette's childhood. Jeanette graduated from Ecorse High School in the spring of 1962. Though her education never quite ended as she was an avid student who loved to read and expand her knowledge.
In the summer of 1962, Jeanette met the love of her life, Richard F. Bolling. Excited to start their lives together the two married on November 23rd, 1962 with an intimate celebration in Marshall, Michigan.
Family was undoubtedly her highest priority, and from the love and dedication of Jeanette and Richard, they began their legacy with their children Patricia Dae Bolling-Holstine, Michelle Lorraine Sloan (Jeffrey), and Jason Eric Bolling (Christy).
From Jeanette's three children she earned her most revered title yet and became Grandma to nine grandchildren, and Great-Grandma to twelve great grandchildren.
A dedicated community servant who gave over 10 years to the United States Postal Service, Jeanette also enjoyed traveling the world, getting lost in a good book, playing Tetris on her gameboy, and crushing all opponents in Jeopardy. She was a hard worker and a loyal friend. Jeanette was a once in a lifetime individual who will be missed tremendously.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard, cherished daughter Patricia, sisters Kelsey, Valerie, Bernice, Geraldine, and brother Chris (Milton). She is survived by her sister Bonnie Harrington.
A Memorial Luncheon for Jeanette will be held at One Under Banquet Hall 35780 Five Mile Rd Livonia, Mi 48154 on January 13th, 2024 at 11:00am.
