Jeffrey E Goerke

Jeff was a bicycle enthusiast. He was an avid bike racer for many years and was the treasurer for the prestigious Wolverine Bicycle Organization of Detroit. He graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in economics. He loved the outdoors and his love for animals enabled him to fill his home with many cats over the years. Jeff’s green thumb allowed him to maintain and immaculate garden and lawn. Jeff had a love/hate relationship with the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Lions. Of all his interests and hobbies, his greatest love was for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon. He was the proud father of Matthew Goerke. He will be missed by his sister Joy and his brother John. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jeffrey’s name to 4 Paws 1 Heart.

A celebration of life will take place at Ford House, 1100 Lakeshore, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080, on May 2nd from 1-4 PM in the St. Clair room.
