
Jerry Ratliff passed away on January 24, 2012 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Twp. He was born on September 25, 1948 in Pikeville, Kentucky; son of Wayne and Lealy (nee Hudson) Ratliff. Jerry served our country proudly during the Vietnam War. He entered the Army as a private and was discharged as a sargeant. He received numerous medals including the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Sharpshooter awards. He was devoted to his friends and fellow veterans. Jerry retired from Ford Automotive after thirty years of loyal employment. Mr. Ratliff leaves behind his daughters Lisa and Katie Ratliff. Grandfather of Kelsey Ratliff. Brother of Joyce (Sollie) Hobson. He is survived by 5 nieces, 1 nephew, and 4 great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Michael Ratliff. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr Rd. at Masonic, Warren. A Private family burial will be held on Saturday at Clinton Grove Cemetery in the military section.
