Joanne Lillian Graham

Joanne L. Graham passed away on September 20, 2018 at the age of 88. She was born on August 1, 1930 in Detroit; daughter of Harry and Bertha (nee Czeschinsky) Myers. Joanne was a lifelong member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe Farms. She was very active and served in various capacities at the Church. She enjoyed crafting. Her works included painting (she taught decorative painting), quilting, and cross stitching. She belonged to the "Pieces be with you" quilting group at church. Joanne was a member of the Grosse Pointe Womens Club, and the Brighton Gardening Club. Joanne enjoyed playing bridge and traveling. She was well liked by everyone and will be remembered for her kind and generous nature. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and Great-grandchildren. Joanne was predeceased by her husband James in 2003. She was proud of her daughter Kerry (Michael) Edick, and son Kent (Michele) Graham. She adored her grandchildren Emily (George) Tyler, and Nate and Gillian Graham. She was the great-grandmother of Henry and Evelyn. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Mrs. Graham will lie instate on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of her funeral at 11:00 am at St. Paul Evangelical Church, 375 Lothrop, Grosse Pointe Farms.
