John Bullo

John Bullo passed away on October 30, 2009 at Mt. Clemens Regional Hospital. He was born on February 15, 1926 in Detroit; son of John and Louise Bullo. John joined the United States Navy and served his country proudly in the Asiatic Theater as a Signal Man Third Class. On June 9, 1951, Mr. Bullo married Margaret McDonald at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Detroit. Mr. Bullo continued his life serving others. He was a Detroit Firefighter from 1955 until his retirement in 1980 as a Lieutenent. John was an outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid bowler and rooted on the Red Wings and Tigers. His greatest love of all was his family. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years Margaret. He was proud of his children Barbara (Randy) Brooks, Jack Bullo, Karen (Rick) Pesta, Joan (Mike) O'Sullivan, and Jim (Jen) Bullo. He adored his eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 5:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home with Monsignor Michael Dylag officiating. Military Honors will complete the ceremony. Visitation will begin on Sunday from Noon until the time of the service. Mr. Bullo will be cremated.
