John A. Conte

Mr. John A. Conte, age 92, of Warren, passed to eternal life May 13, 2017. Beloved husband of Ersilia for 71 years; loving father of John R. "Bob" (Rose Ann) Conte, Joyce (Peter) Christensen, Deanna (Terry) Graves, Celeste (Jon) Paget, Kevin (Maryann) Conte, and Wayne (Arlene) Conte; proud grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 6; dear brother of Madeline (Stan) Smith and Donna (Peter) Flax; dear brother in law of Delores and Carol; he was preceded by his brothers George and Martin. John was a devoted to his family and to his faith. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II, a retiree from Chrysler Corp., a member of Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, and a member of Knights of Columbus Leo XIII Chapter. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13 1/2 mile) Warren. Rosary Tuesday 7 pm at the funeral home. Mass Wednesday 10:00 am at Assumption Grotto Catholic Church, 13770 Gratiot, Detroit. Instate 9:30 am Wed. at the church. Burial at Assumption Grotto Cemetery.
