Jonn Garrett Kerwin of Grosse Pointe Shores, was born September 28, 1944 in Detroit and entered into rest Tuesday March 12, 2013 in Detroit at the age of 68. He was the loving husband of Barbara Susan and beloved uncle of Patrick Kerwin (Katherine), David Kerwin (Marlena), John Kerwin, James (Sarah) Kerwin, Elizabeth (Mark) Peebles, Julia (Brandon) Brooks, Diana Scott, Evan (Elizabeth) Scott and Sean (Elaine) Scott. John was the loving brother of Michael Kerwin (Wendy) and the late Thomas Kerwin (Beverly) and James Kerwin (Laurie) and great-uncle of William, Reece, Levi, Wesley, Tommy, Olivia, Elisia, Payton and Hudson. John is also survived by his loving sister-in-law Michelle DeLand, brother-in-law Brent Kelso and mother-in-law Nina DeLand. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 2:00 pm at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, 16 Lakeshore Drive, Grosse Pointe Farms, MI 48236. The Reverend Dr. Peter Henry will be officiating.
