John was a gentle giant. I never heard anyone speak an unkind word of John. He was loved & respected by everyone. One of the few people in school that I actually thought was funnier then me. God be with you John, you old "tire buster".

We are very saddened to hear about John. I (Margo ) have known John literally my whole life as our parents we're friends and his dad was a pall bearer at my dad's funeral. I wish we had heard in time to be there. John was dear to us in many ways and we share memories that predate high school and go through MSU. We extend our sincere sympathy to all the family. Patrick, I want to express my condolences to you and family on the passing of your beloved father. Parents never leave us, for their memories and energy shall forever remain indelibly stamped upon our body and mind. We feel their energy in the sunlight that nourishes and gives us daily sustenance. Too many memories to put into 2500 characters. Top 3 in my mind: Going to Columbus to see UM/Ohio St play with Uncle John/Bill/Dan-crazy. Being on his boat going to Duke's. John taking Grandpa's spot sleeping in the leather chair at all the holidays. John and Suzy were ALWAYS Kathy and I's blueprint for a solid marriage/ family/ togetherness. We'll miss you Uncle John!
