John Stephen Mathews was born October 10, 1950 in Detroit and entered into rest March 5, 2015 in Detroit at the age of 64. He was the loving husband of Deborah Lynn and brother of James (Christine) and Joseph (Maureen). John is also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. Visitation will be Monday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Tuesday ; visitation 10:00 am until time of service 11:00 am at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home Chapel, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods 48236. Monsignor Daniel Trapp will be officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the charity of your choice.
