I received the Michigan Tech Alumni book last month and read the section regarding alumni that have passed and the class they graduated with. I read the name Jon A. Jackson, and thought what a coincidence. Somebody else at MTU with the same name. Tonight, it was raining outside, so I thought I would just satisfy my curiosity. I did a search and there he was. My old friend. He was a member of my dorm, Oread's Paradise, and called me on many nights to come down to the Phi Kappa's house to enjoy some college atmosphere. He even attended my wedding. I am sorry he has passed, and will miss him dearly. No lame peasant Jon. Keep Rockin' the Casbah.

Eileen, I am very saddened for the sudden loss of Jon. I'm glad that I was able to attend the service, and although I only had a chance to meet you and the kids one brief time, please know that I am praying for you all for strength through this very trying time. Mike

Dear Eileen; We are deeply sorry for the passing of John, I consider him to be a great father, husband, coworker and friend. We did not have the chance to meet you, however he always told me how wonderful his family was.
