Joseph H. Beatty

Joseph H. Beatty passed peacefully, surrounded by his family, on April 17, 2017 at the age of 93. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (Troxel) and dearest father of John (Dianna) Beatty, Judy (Mike) Stewart, Jane (Mike) Ellis and the late Joe, Lynda (the late Dennis) Schimmelpfenneg and Karen. Joseph was deeply loved by many including his 13 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. A Loving brother of 6 siblings, and beloved uncle of many. Joe loved spending time with family and friends. Some of his hobbies included boating and fishing, gardening and working with stained glass. An avid sports fan, Joe never gave up on the Lions, the Tigers or the Red Wings. To celebrate his life, the family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with service immediately following, on Saturday April 22, 2017 at A. H. Peters funeral home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. Guests are invited to attend a luncheon at The Village Grill in Grosse Pointe, immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Mecosta County Commission on Aging and Senior Center, 12954 80th Avenue Mecosta, Michigan 49332; envelopes will be provided at the service.
