He served in the United States Army during the Korean War where he received an honorable discharge. Following his service in the military, Joseph married Dolores Shalhoub and began a family (daughter – Lisa and son – Philip). At the same time, he started a career in real estate. Joseph’s priority was always his family and is survived by his wife, son, and five grandchildren (Mary Sully, Michael Sully, Elizabeth Sully, Daniel Sully, and Joseph Fikany). All of which will miss his love, wisdom, and humor.
