Joseph Kerr Jr. died on March 21, 2014 after a long illness at age 67. Son of the late Clara and Joseph Sr. Joseph was born in Detroit but had lived in Alger, Michigan in recent years. Joseph spent a career in management in retail sales. He was very proud of his service in the United States Army in the Vietnam War and served in the Artillery in the 25th Division. Joseph leaves behind his children Joseph (Holly) P. Kerr the Third, Mary (Floyd) Sanders, Scott (Heather) Kerr, and Linda (Brad) Mercer. He was the proud grandfather of Isabelle, Matthew, Lucinda, Blake, Theodore, and Mason. Funeral Tuesday 10:00 am A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation Monday 2-8 pm with Rosary at 7 pm. Joseph loved the outdoor life of the north and enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.
