I am an Emotional WRECK ............grannâ€‹y was always "The Rock" ...the soft place to fall. The woman that never learned how to drive and lived almost 90 years depending on others for basic things but the truth is when it comes to this point you realize we all depended on her.... for just someone that was ALWAYS home. Always picked up the phone. No caller id, was excited to get to the phone and see who it was. A call or doorbell ring was like a present she couldnt wait to see who it was. I remember when I took her shopping and my purse rang and she was dumbfounded on how a cell phone could work. Funny! She spoke her mind and didnt sugarcoat anything and when she would upset me and stubborn me would distance myself, I knew she would always be there when I got over it and realized she's just telling the hard truth as much as it hurts sometimes. My Heart is broken and I'm keeping a "Poker Face" but I will never be the same. Thanks to all my family/friends you all mean so much to me or have played a role in my life and for that I am grateful. And at April (Lewis) I do remember that visit and I'm sure my grandpa Bishop let us have the rocks,lol. Grandpa use to get so aggravated with her (Eulais) he'd say: "Oh WHYYYYYYNITA!!!!" lol. I also remember her upside down pineapple cakes, her peanut butter fudge, her fruitcakes. She use to have a huge garden, but they got smaller over the years. She canned. She would have a "box" with each person's name wrote on it for xmas & you were guaranteed a new pair of pj's & socks, but you had to leave the box with her after you opened the gift so she could use it for next xmas. And if you were someone like my husband that she didnt get you personal items you got a sweater vest. Which honestly was hideous but I made him wear it to her house the following year so she could see him in it & so she thought he loved those sweater vests so much, he got a new one every year! I know she's up there looking down at us all making sure her wishes are being carried out. So I want to extend a thank you to those of you that have done that for her. I ran into Edna & Clem's daughter, Mary last night & she told me not to worry that granny was already up in heaven having tea with her mom (Edna). RIP Grandma or as my son would call you because when he was a baby you would say:"Give granny sugar", so when he learned to talk he thought your name was "Granny Sugar". SO till we meet again. Love you Granny Sugar.

My Dearest Grandmother, My fondest memories of you, being your oldest grandchild, are the special times I got to share with you all to myself. The trips to get ice cream, the trips to Sambo's for anything I wanted. You always spoiled me. I also remember when I was 5 how much you would laugh when I would sing "On The Good Ship Lolipop". You would ask all your friends, Don't she look like Shirley Temple..LOl. I always knew how proud you were of me and how much you loved me unconditionally. I remember sitting outside in the field next to your house holding a handheld mirror so you could roll your hair around your finger and then pin each curl with a bobby pin. I was fasinated at how you did each curl. It's a shame that when I grew up we drifted a part a little bit. But you will always be my grandmother and I love you with all my heart. RIP Aunt Juanita, I didn't get to see you a lot growing up, I guess there were to many of us Lewis kids to pack in the car and travel. I do remember the time you brought your 2 Granddaughter's to Indiana with you. Belinda and June, they played with my daughter Amanda which was like 9 months, she probably was like a babydoll to them and those 2 girls were so sweet. I remember going out to a old house that was empty, we went in even though you didn't want us to, but when Belinda & June wanted to take some pretty rocks that was left in the house, you wouldn't let them. I can't remember if I did anyway but you sure wouldn't let them. I'm gonna miss you being here on earth and I love you so much. April

Granny, I know that we all knew this time was going to come. But I still had hope that you would make it out of that hospital/nursing home. I will never forget the last special moments we had together. You making me sneak you water, ice chips, and grape nut flakes that i never was able to bring before you passed. I love you so much and it hurts me that you are now an angel. But i am also rejoicing because you are in a place where you no longer feel pain and are with our Lord! I will promise to watch over Grandpa for you. See you on the other side beautiful angel

I only met Mrs. Bishop once but she was a true delight & very interesting to talk to. Deepest condolences to her family -

My condolences to hers sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved you all so much. I was her daughter-in-law for 13 years and shared a lot of time with her in the house in Roseville while I lived in Michigan. I remember Christmas at her house was always great as she decorated everything and really got into the spirit of Christmas. Juanita was a deeply religious woman who was not afraid to talk about her faith or try to get someone to go to church. Juanita is now rejoicing with her heavenly father looking down smiling on this large family that she created and loved so much. Rejoice with her now as she begins her life with the God she so loved. Juanita, I will always remember the last time I saw you and served you lunch at your great granddaughter Stefanys 18th birthday party. You were so proud to be there and be part of the celebration. May you rest in the arms of our lord. Diane Freeman

We will miss our Grandmother and Great Grandmother, She was great at being a grandma. I am so glad that she got to spend time with each of our boys her great-grandsons.
