Judith Ann Ferrari

Judith graduated from East Detroit High School in 1964 where she played clarinet in the High School band. Shortly after graduating high school, she married Randolph Ferrari in 1966. They enjoyed 38 year of marriage until Randolph’s death in 2004. Judith retired from South Macomb Hospital and East Detroit Public Schools. Her musical interests did not end with high school. She sang with the Sweet Adeline Group and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church’s Choir. While her children were in high school, she was the head of the band boosters. She was a member of the Macomb Modulators CB Club.

Judith will be missed by her children Renee Vandevyver, Robert Ferrari (Shannon) and Melissa Hantzis and the late Richard Ferrari. She adored her grandchildren Logan, Kyle, Lilly, Camden, Andreas, Dimitri, Aleko, Eleni, and the late Austin. She leaves behind her sister in-law Sharon Morpus and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas Morpus Sr and Robert Morpus. Judith sponsored 8 foreign exchange students over the years: Steffi, Tim, Jan, Debbie, Sebastián, Beto, Carl, and Gabe.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15th from 2-8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at the Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Johnson officiating.
