Karen E. Bendure

Karen Bendure, 62 of Harper Woods, MI died July 25, 2014. Karen was the eldest of four daughters who she is survived by including; Sharon Knoll (Pat), Sue Keehn (Jim), and Lorna Thom(Brian), children of Arthur and Elizabeth Rose. She is also survived by her husband Richard, two daughters Emily and Elizabeth, and son-in-law Rah-ed. Karen was a creative and selfless woman .She was known for her creation of props and costumes for her daughters dance recitals, her volunteer work in both of her daughter's schools and in her church. She is famous for making baked goods to give to neighbors, and staff and patients at Eastpointe Dialysis Center. She was a mentor to new dialysis patients, and always had a positive outlook on her life. She had a love for music that included, but was not limited to Motown and Earth, Wind and Fire, and continued to enjoy music up until the day she passed. She will greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial Service Thursday, 11:00 am July 31, at St Paul Lutheran Church, 375 Lothrop, Grosse Pointe Farms.
