

Karl Trautmann was born July 9, 1945 in Grand Rapids, MI to parents Rev. Karl and Doris (Nee Rutkowsky) Trautmann. He entered into rest June 2, 2016 at his home in Clinton Township, surrounded by his family. Karl attended several universities including Wayne State, and Ferris. He bravely served our county in Army during the Vietnam War, and was very proud of his service. He was a very sharp and quick witted man who always had a comeback and loved to make people laugh. Family and Faith were the most important things to Karl, and he would do anything for his children and was always active in the church throughout his life. Musically gifted Karl could often filled in for the church organist. He had the amazing ability to play any song by ear. He enjoyed any kind of sport imaginable, from golf to football and hockey, and any Detroit team was his favorite team. Karl leaves behind his children, Katie (Kyle) Geralds, Sarah (Steven Ruskowski) Trautmann, and Andrew (Rozalyn) and grandchild Henry. He was the dear brother of Margaret (Craig) Schley, and Mark (Mary) Trautmann. Brother-in-law of Cindy Neumann. Dear uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation for Karl will be Monday 2-8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr, at Masonic, in Warren. Karl will lie instate Tuesday 10am until time of service 11am at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church. 1345 Gratiot Ave, Detroit MI 48207. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
