Kathleen Campbell

Kathleen Claudia Campbell (nee Burgess), age 74, passed away peacefully November 5, 2016 in her Sterling Heights home. She was born October 20, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to Harold and Anne (nee Crowe) Burgess, who predeceased her. Kathy was the best mother imaginable to three grateful and adoring daughters; Rebecca (Dan) LaRossi, Kimberly McPhee and Lauren (James Webb) Campbell Webb. She relished her big messy extended family, especially grandchildren Shannon, Aric and Jonathan Osso; Mackenzie, Madison and Angus McPhee; Kierstyn Lorince and great-granddaughters, Emma Lorince and one expected in the spring. A strong and independent person with a compassionate and generous spirit, Kathy will be remembered for her relentless work ethic and quick, irreverent wit. She was immensely proud of the accomplishments of her daughters and grandchildren, though don't you dare tell them so, or they might start slacking off. After retiring from a more than 30 year career at KAMAX/G.B. Dupont, she enjoyed cheering on the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, often loudly and to the notice of her immediate neighbors. In addition to her parents, she is pre-deceased by sisters Delores Considine, Marianne Chambers and Sharon Reynolds. Kathy is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, siblings Vicki Wolny, Bernard and John Burgess, and dozens of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her greatly. The family will receive visitors on Saturday November 12th from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the celebration of Kathleen's life at 5:00 p.m. at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Girl Scouts of Southeastern Michigan or Beaumont Foundation (Beaumont Hospice).
