Kathleen Patricia Gentry

Kathleen Gentry passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 27, 2012. She was born on December 28, 1929; daughter of Lawrence and Helen (nee Lehre) Ertel. Kathleen was an artistic lady. Whether she was experimenting with a new recipe, gardening, or making a new craft, she was always up to something. She had a generous spirit and a loving heart. She and her husband Herman owned "Clinton Canoe Rental" in Mt. Clemens for twenty-one years. Mrs. Gentry loved to barbeque. She would host barbeques for her family all the time including the winter months. She will be missed by all that knew her. She leaves behind her son Michael and daughter Karen (Robert) Klempay. She was proud of her grandchildren Kristin (William), Jesse and Stephanie Gentry. She adored her great-grandchildren Serina Schram, Jesse Gentry, and Kayne Gentry-Joshua. Sister in-law of Joan Gardiner (Jeff). Aunt of Jim Rodgers (Bridget) and Julie (Greg) Baker. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Herman and loving grandson Keith Klempay. Visitation Tuesday 2:00-9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Mrs. Gentry's funeral service will be held on Wednesday at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
