Kenneth C. Harness

Kenneth C. Harness, age 83, passed away on November 16, 2012. He was born on May 31, 1929 in Rockwood, Tennessee to the late John and Georgia (nee Troxel) Harness. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1950-1952. Kenneth spent his career as a Design Engineer at Holly Automotive and General Motors. He was active in Christian ministry at Faith Baptist Church of Warren, where he served as founder and leader of Christian Service Brigade, faithful deacon, and nursing home leader. Kenneth enjoyed his rabbit, harmonica, and reading his Bible every day. He is survived by Marion (nee King), his loving and faithful wife of 61 years. He was the dear father of Daniel, David, and Ronald. Kenneth was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren; Matthew, Melanie, Michael, Christy (Biel), Emily (Vaal), David Jr., Cara (Dyck), Nathanael, Paul, Andrew, Simeon, Elisabeth, Judson, Staley, Ezra; he was blessed with 11 great- grandchildren. Visitation Sunday, November 25th, 3 - 9 p.m. at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr (at Masonic), Warren. Kenneth will lie in state at Faith Baptist Church of Warren, 26510 Schoenherr, from 10 a.m., Monday, November 26th, until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Dr. Paul Murphrey officiating.
