
Lawrence Leon Bielski a long time resident of Sterling Heights, died on February 8, 2020, at the age of 84. Lawrence was born in Detroit Michigan, on May 10, 1935 the son of Leo and Martha Bielski and the older brother of Ray Bielski.
Larry was the beloved husband of 51 years to the late Joan. He was the loving father of Larry (Valerie), late Keith (Laura) and Cindy. He is the cherished grandfather of Bret, Nina, Eric, Nicholas, Alec, Lauren, Brian and Shane and great-grandfather of Abbigail, Gabriella and Brenden.
A proud veteran Larry served his country in the United States Army. Upon his discharge he settled down with his wife Joan, in their Sterling Heights home where he lived for over 60 years, to raise their three children. Larry spent 36 years working for Hawthorn as a tool and die repairman. He was an enthusiastic sports fan who loved playing tennis, golf, bowling, and baseball and watched a few games when he had the opportunity. He was a huge fan of The Detroit Tigers. He also loved taking pictures of everyone and everything. He loved to be in pictures, proven by the hundreds of photos his family has of him, his smile and enthusiasm will always be remembered through those photos.
An avid story teller, Larry was known for his long descriptive stories and unmatched sense of humor. He could get along with anyone and had a story for every conversation. Larry always known how to command or should we say "demand" a crowd and loved to be the center of attention. His charismatic personality shined through every interaction he had, whether it was with a longtime friend or someone he just met. His boundless energy was not even rivaled by his grandchildren, he spent all his time on the move.
Visitation for Larry will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, from 2:00 pm until time of service 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren.
