I don't remember the year that Larry became an extension of our family, but we have cherished his presence, in person and in his cards for decades. My Dad, Lou Beck, and he became friends at Chrysler. Dad and Larry made an unlikely pair, but enjoyed one another's company in and out of the work place. Larry has celebrated our joys and prayed with us through sorrow. Going to the mailbox and finding an envelope with his beautiful script and stickers always let you know there was going to be something special inside. That's exactly what Larry was...someone special. A tireless servant who exemplified Christ's example. I have been brought to tears many times this week in learning of his passing. Tears of sadness for us left behind, tears of joy for him...pain free, in heaven with our Lord and his family and friends that have gone on before him. Larry, I hope you know how much we treasured you. XO

Larry, Your wonderful smile and kind words will surely be missed. You touched many people's lives when you volunteered your time at St. John's Hospital. Rest in peace my friend.

Larry was a kind spirited man, who served from his heart in so many ways. He volunteered at St. John Hospital & MC, always with a war smile and out reached arms. Dear David and Mary, Even though we all knew your brother was very ill, I know his passing is not easy for you. We can never really prepare, even though we know where he will spend eternity. Just from the way you've talked about Larry, it is clear he had a life time of love from all who knew him. Larry was always pleasant and talkative around me. He loved his family and was always good to his nephews and niece. We shared being Godparents to James Jr. I never heard him complain about his illness. He would want to know the good things going on with my family. I am so happy that the Tigers won their division today, and the Lions won their 3rd game of the season for him. He is with others he knew now including Scott!
