Leila found her calling taking care of others as a nurse. She dedicated many years to her work at the hospital and later became the hospital administrator. She always had a reputation for her kind nature and hard work.
She married her beloved husband William St. Clare Sample in 1957 and they spent a wonderful 63 years of marriage enjoying each other’s company. Together they have their cherished sons John (Paulette) Sample of Romeo, Michigan, and Michael William Sample of Ajax, Ontario, Canada. She is the loving grandmother of Melissa and Jacob Sample of Ottawa, Canada. She will be missed dearly by all her family and friends.
