Leland E. Bierlein was born on January 14, 1931 to Herbert and Wilhelmina Bierlein. He was raised in the small town of Adrian, Michigan. He became a graduate of West Point Military Academy and married Lori Monahan. They travelled the world together and settled in Michigan, where he retired from Ford Motor Company. Leland is survived by his wife Lori; three children Patricia, Richard, and Leslie; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Edna and Leola. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Peace Lutheran Church, 11701 East 12 Mile Rd., Warren, MI 48093. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at the church.
