Leslie Conway Anderson

Leslie Conway Anderson, age 93, passed away on June 20, 2020 in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. He was married to his beloved wife, the late Mary. Together they loved to travel the country and relax on their sailboat along the Lake St. Clair shoreline.

Les was a true character. He was always keeping everyone on their toes. You would never know what was going to come out of his mouth to make you burst out laughing of happiness or disbelief. Leslie knew exactly how to bring life into the room. When his friends speak about him, the joy radiates out of their mouths and it is so infectious.

Leslie would love to explore and always be active. He was an avid sailor and a dedicated member of the Crescent Sail Yacht Club. He believed that everyone should feel the enjoyment of life at least once in their life. Les also believed in never giving up which is why he was able to live such a long, beautiful, joyous life. He will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday June 25 from 10 AM to 2 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236. Face coverings are required for entry and a limited number of guests are allowed in the building at a time. A funeral service will immediately follow visitation on Thursday at the funeral home.
