Lillian V. Zaporski

Lillian Zaporski passed away on November 10, 2018 at the age of 93. She was born on October 15, 1925 in Detroit; daughter of John and Caroline Chmielewski. Lillian retired from Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe after serving for 40 years as a registered nurse. She was predeceased by her husband Edward. She leaves behind her loving children David, Diane (Mark) Gilliland, Jeffry (JoAnn), and Brian (Jeannette). She was proud of her grandchildren Ian, Colin, Jeremiah (Nicole), Hannah, Rachel, Jonathan (Mandy), Rebekah (Tyler), Krista, Megan, Benjamin, and Leah.; and great-grandchildren Isabella, Cecily, Caleb, Joshua, Mathieu, and Andrew. Visitation will be held on Friday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Eulogies will be read at 7:00 pm. She will lie instate on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass of the Resurrection at 10:00 am at St. Basil Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington, Eastpointe.
