Lois Skupien Robinson Hanna died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Warren, Michigan. She was born on September 19, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph and Zelda (nee Robinson) Skupien. She grew up the fourth of six siblings, and graduated from Altoona High School in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She was married to Theodore Fulton Hanna, Jr. in Ardmore, Pennsylvania on March 13, 1948. They lived in various cities throughout the east and midwest as Ted worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and Lois worked as homemaker and secretary: proud parents of their daughters Judith and Karen. Lois fondly remembered their days together in Ardmore, where she enjoyed being in the midst of her extended family and where they attended the First Presbyterian Church of Ardmore. An added plus was the Main Line rail service and the expansive shopping trips and family visits that it facilitated. Lois was an avid reader, a devoted grandmother and baby-sitter, a lover of musical drama, and an exceptional wit. Lois is predeceased by her husband Ted, her sisters Josephine, Thelma, Wanda, and brother, Paul. She is survived by her sister Shirley Fedrigon (Henderson, NV); her daughters Judith (Bobby) and Karen (Jim); granddaughters Jamie (Steve) and Kate; and great-granddaughter Lorelai. A private family memorial will be held in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.
