Lois Jean (Carotta) Johnston was born December 11, 1942 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Tulio & Rita Carotta, sister to Alan Carotta Sr. Lifelong resident of Grosse Pointe Farms. Lois graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and studied BS in Occupational Therapy at Wayne State University Class of 1965. She would later earn a Master Degree in Education.
Lois met the love of her life on a Grosse Pointe school bus when Dale refused to give up his seat so Lois dropped her load of books on his lap. Dale and Lois married August 12, 1966. Dale & Lois raised four sons Kerry, Kyle, Kelly and Kory. They were blessed with five beautiful grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews that were greatly cherished.
Lois was reunited with her beloved the morning of May 28th.
