Loraine Hill Obituary Hill, Loraine (5/22/1928-3/23/2017) who resided in Pittsfield Township, MI passed away on Thursday March 23, 2017. Born in Detroit, MI on May 22, 1928 to Joseph Roosevelt and Catherine (Poczatek ), who both preceded her in death and her brother Louis Roosevelt who also preceded her in death, as well as her first husband Denny Melik, who preceded her in death in 1991 and beloved husband William Hill who preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by her children Joseph Melik (Tina Mitchell), David Melik, Denise Melik (Wallace LaBurn), and grandchildren Matthew LaBurn, David LaBurn, Ryan Mitchell, Sean Melik, Dustin Melik and Lucas Potter. Loraine lived most of her life in Michigan and moved to Florida where she spent about a 15 year hiatus in retirement life until moving back to Michigan to be closer to her daughter and family. She was devoted to her family and grandchildren, who she loved to visit on holiday's and birthdays. She loved to read her Bible and was an avid collector of Angels & Butterflies and was the best friend of her daughter who took care of her daily in the final years of her life. All her family will always remember her wonderful smile! A memorial will be held for her at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 4205 Washtenaw Road, Ann Arbor, April 29, 10:00 am to honor her life with family and friends.
