Louis Savour Chetcuti

Louis Savour Chetcuti, age 94, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Beloved husband to the late June. Adored father to Steven (Sarah), David (Barb), and John (Lori). Loving grandpa to Nox Chetcuti, Steven Chetcuti, Shane Chetcuti, Danielle Szafraniski, Sylvia Green, Emily Chetcuti, Olivia Chetcuti, and Atom Chetcuti. Dear great-grandpa to Ti’en, Luca, Marcus, Zelda, Amielia, Lucy, Lennon, Joey and Lillian.

After high school Lou went to Ford trade school and went into the Army ERC – Artillery from May 1951 to January 1953. He worked at GM as a Master Toolmaker from December 1953 to January 1984. After retirement He and his wife started J & L Antiques. They spent a lot of time looking for antiques and going to Shipshewana, Indiana. Lou loved sweets, especially cookies. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was good with his hands and could build just about anything. Lou and June loved traveling together, went on many cruises and travelled to Germany, Italy, Ireland and Malta.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe woods. A Rosary will be held under the auspices of the Knights of Columbus at 7:00 pm. He will lie instate on Monday at 10:30 am until the time of his Funeral Mass at St Lucy Catholic Church, 23401 E Jefferson, St Clair Shores. Lou will be interred next to his beloved wife June at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capuchin’s, 1820 Mt Elliott, Detroit.
