Louis Frederick Kopp

Louis F. Kopp, age 87, passed away July 17, 2016, at St John Macomb Hospital. He was born October 27, 1928 in Detroit to the late Herman and Hazel Kopp.Louis worked in Tool and Die at the Chrysler Stamping Plant before his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, country music and his friendships in the Men's Club at church. He especially loved his family and gardening when time permitted. He served in the United States Army from 1946 to 1948 earning a World War 11 Victory Medal. Beloved husband of 65 years to Arlene June ('Reh) Kopp. Dearest father of Jacqueline (Robert) Travis, Michael (Jane) Kopp, and Kristine (Richard) Staten. Loving and proud grandfather of Stephanie (Nick) Showman, Jason (Kelly) Kopp, Jenna Kopp, Jalina (Matthew) Salas, Amanda Staten, Allison Staten, Andrew Staten and the late Tara Hill. Dear great-grandfather to Jacob Kopp, Carter and Jordan Salas. Dear brother in-law of Beverly (the late Leonard) Compton. Dear brother of Carl (Shirley) Kopp. He was predeceased by brothers; Herman (Cindy) Kopp, Bernard (the late Marylou) Kopp, Dallas (Phyllis) Kopp, and sisters; Cecilia Fritzgerald, Luella (Richard) Ruehle and Dorothy (the late Joseph) Brault. Family will receive friends and relatives Saturday, July 23rd 10:00am followed by a Memorial Service 11:00am at Christ Lutheran Church, 32300 Schoenherr, Warren. Memorial to St Jude Children's Hospital and Christ Lutheran Church appreciated by family.
