Madeline E. Lade

Madeline E. Lade, age 105 died peacefully at the Dorothy Love Retirement Community in Sidney, Ohio. Madeline was born on March 11, 1905 in Sweden, the daughter of Karl and Elin Johnson. She immigrated to the United States in 1912. Madeline was a longtime member of the Grosse Pointe Woods Seniors. She enjoyed bowling and playing bridge. Mrs. Lade is survived by her son Richard (Sandra); three grandsons, Kevin (Vicki), Randall and Scott (Jennifer); and four great-grandchildren, Danielle, Emily, Justin and Megan. She was predeceased by her husband Herman in 1970. The funeral service for Mrs. Lade will be at 12 noon on Friday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. Rev. Liz Arakelian from the Grosse Pointe Woods Presbyterian Church will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m Friday morning before the service. Interment will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East in Clinton Township.
