

Marcella "Marce" Haney Curran (Fischl), prominent model and talent agent for over 60 years, passed away peacefully at home Thursday at the age of 90. Marcy founded A-Plus, one of the first talent agencies in Detroit in 1961 and remained an active talent agent until the age of 88. She helped many local models attain national fame and was involved in the casting of notable movies, including The Rosary Murders, Paper Lion and Beverly Hills Cop. She was the first woman to join the Adcraft Club of Detroit and was past president of Women's ADV Club of Detroit. She is survived by a sister, Jeanne Gainer, and a brother, Jack Fischl. She is predeceased by husbands George Curran, Robert Haney and Peter Liggett; sisters Ruth Fischl, Betty Renel and Toni Warren; and parents Anthony and Mildred Fischl. She is the loving stepmother of George Curran III, Patrick Curran, Sheri Constantin and Maureen Guy. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for Marcy will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave. at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Instate Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 9:30am until time of mass at 10:00am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church, 157 Lakeshore Dr., Grosse Pointe Farms.
