Mom, It's been 2 years since you left us to be with the love of your life, your firt born, and the rest of your loved ones that you have always talked so much about. Words cannot express the loss that I feel everyday when I wake up and I want to call you about something that I could use your thoughts on or when we would talk some evenings for hours at a time. Most of all it pains me to see how the kids are at "HOLIDAY TIME "when we sit down to dinner and your not there to talk, laugh,and joke with! Most of all Mom you were the" GREATEST MOM" that anyone could have asked for and NO ONE COULD OR EVER WILL take your place. Dear Grandma, One year ago today you closed your eyes and went home to be with grandpa, Aunt Beverly and your mom (and dad). You left us behind with wonderful memories of you. Although I miss you, I feel blessed to have had you not only as my grandma here on earth and now as my guardian angel watching me from heaven. Until we are together again someday, rest in peace grandma, I love you!

Joe: I was really sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I just found out today when I was talking to my sister Barb. I was away on vacation last week and missed the obituary in the paper. You mother was a wonderful woman who will be deeply missed. I have fond memories of taking my mother over to her house to visit, and the friendship they shared. Take care, Ed Perkins and family!

You will find it impossible to accept. You cannot believe it has happened to you. You yearn for them. Grief is the price of love and being loved. And you must grieve - you need to release your feelings. It is natural to cry and sob. As natural as smiling an laughing. Do not deny or hide your grief - accept it. It is a healing process, a way of coming to terms with loss. Let your tears and feelings come. Do not bottle them up. Crying is not self pity - it is a necessity - so cry when you need to. For those concerned more with the grief of their loss than anythiing else (including "etiquette"): Grandma, words cannot express how deeply you will be missed. You were (and still are) the sweetest, kindest person we have ever known and the world will not be the same without you. Rest in peace and God bless. We love you.
