Margaret Ann Obrzut, age 91, passed away on August 15, 2021 at her home in St. Clair Shores. Margaret was born on March 22, 1930 to her late parents Joseph and Matilda Bernett. She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard. Beloved mother to Nancy (Tim) McLaughlin, Michele (Don) Stauffer, Theresa (Greg) Goike, Patricia Obrzut and Cheryl Obrzut. Cherished grandmother to Colin (Acacia), Kelly (Scott), Meaghan, Kristen, Chelsea, Eric, Alyssa and Jacob. Great-grandmother to Kinsley and one on the way. Dear sister to Joseph (Carol) Bernett, the late Arlene (the late Joe) Peters, and the late Dolores (Tony) DePierro.
Margaret lived her life caring for her 5 daughters with the loving support of her husband Richard. She cherished her time with children, grandchildren and her great-granddaughter. She enjoyed her time outdoors, visiting with neighbors and tending to her garden. She nurtured and propagated many plants to share with friends and family, especially her variety of roses. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church for 62 years.
Margaret will be instate at 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral Mass at 10 AM on Friday, August 20th at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080. The Mass will be livestreamed at https://sjascs.org/st-joan-live. Burial to take place at Davis Cemetery in Ray Township, MI.
