Maria Caruso

Maria Caruso, age 75, passed away in Roscommon on July 9, 2015. She was born in Sicily on January 1, 1940; the daughter of Calogero and Caterina (nee Ferrara) Caruso. Maria's family immigrated from Sicily to the United States in 1964 where she became a longtime and dedicated housekeeper at St. John Hospital for 18 years. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants. Dear sister of Anna (the late Nick) D'Andrea, Josephine (Louie) Marino, Salvatore (Michele), Giacomo (Susan), Pietro and the late Rose (Jack) Alu. Maria is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Maria's family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 2:00pm until 8:00pm with an evening rosary at 6:30pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile) in Warren. Instate Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 9:30am until time of Mass 10:00am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (St. Clement Campus), 25252 Van Dyke Road in Center Line. Entombment to immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield.
