On Sunday, May 9,2021, Maria Georgia B. Desembrana Collamar, also known as Georgia, loving wife and mother of three children, passed away at the age of 64. She was surrounded by her loving family during her passing.
Georgia was born on May 9, 1957 in Lopez, Quezon, Philippines. She received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Sacred Heart College in Lucena City, Quezon. She practiced nursing for 42 years in both the Philippines and United States. She started her practice of nursing here in the United States at Southwest Detroit Hospital, St. John Main Hospital, Oakwood Medical Center, and ended at St. John Macomb Hospital. On December 19,1985 she married Juanito Jr. Collamar. They raised one son, Christian (Job), and two daughters, Joy and Jane.
Georgia had a passion for gardening and cooking. She loved to work in her garden and photograph her flowers every spring and summer. She loved to cook many traditional Filipino dishes, but was also very enthusiastic in trying new recipes. She was a devoted Catholic and believed in the power of prayer. She also loved to dance and never missed a beat. She was known for her faith, hard work, kindness and her compassionate heart.
Georgia was preceded in death by her father, Benjamin, and her mother, Lourdes. She is survived by her husband Juanito, her three children, Job, Joy, and Jane, her sisters Marivic and Marites, along with several cousins, and nephews.
