Maria L. Payne, age 73, a resident of Warren, died August 24, 2011 at St. John's Hospital. Born July 2, 1938. Maria was a long time member of Carpathia and GTEV Edelweiss Club. Her happy smile and vitality will be solemnly missed by her family and many friends. Survived by four step-children with family; her loving companion, Joe Wist; one brother, two sisters, and family in Germany. Predeceased by her husband, Ernest Payne. Visitation Friday, 3-9 p.m. Services will be Saturday, noon., at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr, at Masonic (13 1/2 Mile Road), Warren. Father Robert Witkowski of St. Edmund Catholic Church, Warren. Burial at Hart Cemetery, Chesterfield Township.
